CKSSC is so proud of CKSSC club member DeAnn Shults and her girl "Jessee".
After becomming certified as a therapy dog with Therapy Dogs International (TDI) in late 2005, Jessee received her 7th consecutive nomination (2006-2012) for AKC's ACE Award. In addition, Jessee also earned her TDI Gold title for completing/documenting 500 visits last year.
Way to go ladies - what a fabulous accomplishment!!!
I am proud to submit a brag about my photogenic Sheltie, Andante's Son of Foxcroft (Dante).
He was chosen by Shelby Price to be the December cover page in her 2012 Keynote Specialties Shetland Sheepdog Calendar, which the CKSSC supports annually.
The photo of Dante and Santa (a.k.a. Jim Harvey, CFO of the Bluegrass Barkery) was taken at the Bluegrass Barkery by Jennifer Munson, owner of Jennifer Munson Photography.
Part of the proceeds from this annual event goes directly to the Bluegrass Chapter of the National Canine Cancer Foundation in Lexington, KY.
It is an honor and a pleasure to have a Sheltie selected to be in this beautiful calendar in addition to supporting such a worthy cause as canine cancer research.
